Agents
An Agent is a natural person who meets certain conditions (see Ministerial Order of May 12, 2009, Official Gazette No. 37 - 24/06/2009), and is approved by the Ministry in charge of industrial property. They are the legal representative of the applicant, responsible for filing applications and acting on their behalf. An Agent is required for applicants residing abroad and optional for those residing in Algeria.
In summary, whether you are a natural or legal person (company, association, etc.), you can submit your application yourself if you reside in Algeria. If you are abroad, you must appoint a Agent.
