Trademark Filing Procedure – INAPI

Steps to Register a Trademark:

  • Create an account on the INAPI website, or log in to your existing account.
  • Click on the “Trademark” section on the dashboard, then select “New Application”.
  • Fill in the required fields with the necessary information.
  • Print your payment receipt and three (03) copies of the trademark application form.
  • Make the payment by depositing the amount at any CNEP agency nationwide into INAPI’s account:
    - Account Number: 100 00 13733 key 7
    - Agency Name: ESSAFIR ALITTI CNEP
    - Agency Code: 103
    Payment by cheque is also accepted directly at INAPI.
  • Sign all three copies of the printed application and prepare the required documents.
  • Submit your file at the main INAPI office in Algiers or at the nearest branch to your location.
  • After verification of the formal admissibility of the application, the following documents are issued to the applicant:
  • - A stamped copy of the trademark application containing the application number, date, and time of filing, which serves as the official filing record (submission report).
    - A validated payment receipt.

Required Documents

  • Three (03) completed, signed, and dated official application forms.
  • Three (03) payment receipts printed from the online filing system.
  • A proof of payment of the applicable parafiscal fees into INAPI’s account (according to the current tax schedule).
  • An original signed and dated power of attorney if represented by an agent, and, if applicable, a priority claim document.
  • Additional documents may be requested depending on the application.
